Fishing is good! Been catching a fair amount of redfish in the 30" range. Some larger flounder 17" to 19" range. Lots of bluefish and Spanish around as well. Trout should take off any day now.

The fishing started out slow this month, plus some storms that ruined alot of days di not help. But as of now 9/27 things are really heating up. Bait is everywhere, Have been catching some good sized flounder. Bull Redfish are starting to show and the trout should be in thick any day now. If you are looking to catch a trophy Redfish now is the time to give it a shot. Give me a call.

Sorry for lack of reports as I have been busy. Redfish has been hit and miss. Lots of undersize flounder around but there are keepers to be caught if you know where to go. A few trout have been caught as well although it is a little early here for them.  The kids are still out fishing the dads and moms.

Fishing has been pretty good. Some days have been really on then one day nuth'in. Thats why they call it fish'in and not catch'in. Highlight of the past few trips was a 25" Flounder caught by an 10yr old. And just yesterday a 30" Redfish by a 13 yr old. The kids have really been out fishing dad so far this month.

Fishing has really been pretty good this month. Lot of over the slot redfish. Good numbers of sheepshead at the jetties. Spadefish are plentiful on the reefs. Flounder here and there only 50% are keepers tho.

Hey everybody!
Fishin is finally heating up here in Murrells Inlet. Fished the incoming tide yesterday and scored a slam in 20 minutes. 26" red  17" speckled trout and 2 flounder. Both flounder were just barely under 14" and had to go back.

May 15th 2008
Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish & Whiting are biting now. The Bluefish have had some larger than average size to them. The big Redfish have started moving into the jetties. Hopefully the weather will stabilize a little bit and allow the water to warm which will bring more fish in close.

April 21st 2008
Fishing has been slow but the good news is the water temps are now 68 which should mean things will really get going just as May fishing should be. Flounder and Bluefish are biting now although the Flounder have been on the small side. Some redfish have been caught but they have been finicky. The up coming days should bring the larger reds to the jetties. Black sea bass have been consistent at the reefs as well.  Plan your trip now. My rates are the same as last year even tho the price of gas is up and I supply top notch boat and gear.  Shop carefully, some will promise the moon and the stars! The fish don't always cooperate but I promise to give you my best effort and a fun relaxing time on the water.

March 13th  2008

Back on the water again after a few months off. Went out scouting today for future trips. I was able to find a few flounder and one 4' finetooth shark. Quite a battle on light inshore tackle mean't  for trout fishing. Things should only get better from here on out as the water temperatures start to warm.

11/4 to 11/19 2007
Redfish, large ones at that, in the 8 to 20lb range. Good numbers of speckled trout as well. The fishing is really good right now using live or artificial baits.  Book a trip today to get in on the action!

week of 10/15/07
This weeks weather has been just ok. Fishing has been consistently good with some nice flounder being caught. Weakfish have showed up in the usual live bottom areas off of surfside beach. The large redfish have started to move through are area as well. Now is the time to try for that trophy, these fish will range  30 to 40 inches and then some.

week of 10/01/07
The fishing continues to be really good even tho the weather has not been that nice. I have been consistently catching flounder. bluefish and lots of redfish in the 23" to 24" range. This coming week looks as tho the weather is going to cooperate with some nice days and calmer winds.

9/01/07 to 9/18/07
Temps were still hot but the fishing is heating up as well. Lots of bait moving through the inlet right now which means the the big redfish will be waiting to ambush them. Have not had much luck landing them tho as these large reds 30" plus pull hard on light tackle and tend to take advantage of the inexperienced angler by breaking their line off on the jettie rocks below. There have also been plenty of Spanish mackerel and some nice keeper sized flounder being caught.

Week of 8/26/07
Caught several reds in the 19" to 20" range along with a few Spanish Mackerel Did see some nice flounder being caught at the jetties as well. Temps were still high 90's.

Week of 8/20/07
Fishing was not to bad this week as long as you could bear the the heat. This week we found some spadefish in close within a mile of the jetties. Some large flounder have been caught along with a few redfish here and there. Spanish mackerel and bluefish were busting on big schools of glass minnows. The fishing is heating up book your trip soon!

Week of 8/1/07
Things slowed a little this week. Temps have gone way up making the inshore fishing a little tough. We did manage to find a few bluefish and a couple flounder. Nearshore scored a couple of Blacktip sharks and had a short battle with a barracuda out on the reef.

Week of 8/13/07
This week has gone pretty good for me inshore caught several 3lb blues a flounder and  9 slot redfish 19" to 21"  Air temps are still high 90's but with a little wind it is comfortable.
